To whom does God reveal his true knowledge too?
The prophet Amos tells us at Amos 3:7-8… For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets. “There is a lion that has roared! Who will not be afraid? The Sovereign Lord Jehovah himself has spoken! Who will not prophesy?”
Daniel was one who spoke about the confidential matters of the true God, yes, and he prophesied. Let us look at an example of this, the setting was that the King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that he could not understand and if no one could reveal the matter to the king; people were going die. Daniel prayed to the living God and ask for the secret to be revealed to him and our God answered.
Daniel 2:19-23, 28… Then it was that to Daniel in a night vision the secret was revealed. Consequently, Daniel himself blessed the God of heaven. 20 Daniel was answering and saying: “Let the name of God become blessed from time indefinite even to time indefinite, for wisdom and mightiness—for they belong to him. 21 And he is changing times and seasons, removing kings, and setting up kings, giving wisdom to the wise ones and knowledge to those knowing discernment. 22 He is revealing the deep things and the concealed things, knowing what is in the darkness; and with him the light does dwell. 23 To you, O God of my forefathers, I am giving praise and commendation, because wisdom and mightiness you have given to me. And now you have made known to me what we requested of you, for you have made known to us the very matter of the king” … However, there exists a God in the heavens who is a revealer of secrets, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what is to occur in the final part of the days. Your dream and the visions of your head upon your bed…
Daniel humbled himself so that he could receive understanding of the deep things of God, this is a sacred secret to humble yourself. Receiving this information from God spared Daniel’s life from the king’s death order. Our wanting to look into the prophecies and trying to learn more about the deep things of God can help spare our lives too. Notice what he prophesied about the time of the end.
Daniel 12:3- 4, 9-10… And the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse; and those who are bringing the many to righteousness, like the stars to time indefinite, even forever. 4 “And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant” … And he went on to say: “Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of [the] end. 10 Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and no wicked ones at all will understand; but the ones having insight will understand.
True knowledge will become abundant in the time of the end and those having insight will shine as they glorify our God and honor his son Jesus Christ. Now let us look at what the apostle Paul said about faith.
Romans 1:17… for in it God’s righteousness is being revealed by reason of faith and toward faith, just as it is written: “But the righteous one—by means of faith he will live.”
1 Corinthians 2:6-16… Now we speak wisdom among those who are mature, but not the wisdom of this system of things nor that of the rulers of this system of things, who are to come to nothing. 7 But we speak God’s wisdom in a sacred secret, the hidden wisdom, which God foreordained before the systems of things for our glory. 8 This [wisdom] not one of the rulers of this system of things came to know, for if they had known [it] they would not have impaled the glorious Lord. 9 But just as it is written: “Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, neither have there been conceived in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 For it is to us God has revealed them through his spirit, for the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man that is in him? So, too, no one has come to know the things of God, except the spirit of God. 12 Now we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit, which is from God, that we might know the things that have been kindly given us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not with words taught by human wisdom, but with those taught by [the] spirit, as we combine spiritual [matters] with spiritual [words]. 14 But a physical man does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot get to know [them], because they are examined spiritually. 15 However, the spiritual man examines indeed all things, but he himself is not examined by any man. 16 For “who has come to know the mind of Jehovah, that he may instruct him?” But we do have the mind of Christ.
An in-depth studying of the Scriptures and the benefit of doing so are as follows, as spoken by the holy spirit.
Hebrews 5:14- 6:3… But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong… For this reason, now that we have left the primary doctrine about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying a foundation again, namely, repentance from dead works, and faith toward God, 2 the teaching on baptisms and the laying on of the hands, the resurrection of the dead and everlasting judgment. 3 And this we will do, if God indeed permits.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we may not see ourselves as a prophet, but we should surely see ourselves as spiritually mature people or at least slaves of our God.
1 Peter 1:10-12… Concerning this very salvation a diligent inquiry and a careful search were made by the prophets who prophesied about the undeserved kindness meant for YOU. 11 They kept on investigating what particular season or what sort of [season] the spirit in them was indicating concerning Christ when it was bearing witness beforehand about the sufferings for Christ and about the glories to follow these. 12 It was revealed to them that, not to themselves, but to YOU, they were ministering the things that have now been announced to YOU through those who have declared the good news to YOU with holy spirit sent forth from heaven. Into these very things angels are desiring to peer.
Notice what the apostle John said about the revelation that was given him.
Revelation 1:1… A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John.
So, my brothers and sisters I pray and encourage you all to become “noble minded” and “better disposed” to search the Scriptures of the all the holy writings and examine these things to see if they are so. Acts 17:11
