Why has God been angry? If we do not understand this fundamental question we are indeed in trouble and destined the suffer the wrath of God. Let’s look into the Scriptures and see if we cannot understand who or what God’s anger is brought against.
Revelation 15:1… And I saw in heaven another sign, great and wonderful, seven angels with seven plagues. These are the last ones, because by means of them the anger of God is brought to a finish.
Plagues by God are meant to get the attention of mankind, it is meant as a corrective measure, and this is the last attempt by God that he is making to reach the hearts of mankind, as he seeks their repentance.
Revelation 15:2… And I saw what seemed to be a glassy sea mingled with fire, and those who come off victorious from the wild beast and from its image and from the number of its name standing by the glassy sea, having harps of God.
Timing is everything, God is letting us know when the plagues are brought to bear by the pouring out of the seven bowls, we know what time frame God does this, and what sequence the events are going to happen in. We can also see that some have come off victorious over this earth are in heaven singing the victory song and will not face the anger of God by means of the seven bowls.
Revelation 15:3-4… And they are singing the song of Moses the slave of God and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and wonderful are your works, Jehovah God, the Almighty. Righteous and true are your ways, King of eternity. 4 Who will not really fear you, Jehovah, and glorify your name, because you alone are loyal? For all the nations will come and worship before you, because your righteous decrees have been made manifest.”
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God, and all will have to glorify God’s name, all will have to learn to worship the only true God. Now all of God’s righteous decrees have been made known to mankind, it is incumbent upon each one of us to begin to apply these teachings in our lives and escape the false worship.
Revelation 15:5-8… And after these things I saw, and the sanctuary of the tent of the witness was opened in heaven, 6 and the seven angels with the seven plagues emerged from the sanctuary, clothed with clean, bright linen and girded about their breasts with golden girdles. 7 And one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls that were full of the anger of God, who lives forever and ever. 8 And the sanctuary became filled with smoke because of the glory of God and because of his power, and no one was able to enter into the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
You might be asking what is the significance of nobody being allowed into the sanctuary until these plagues are done? Well prayers were offered up in the sanctuary in the past, it’s plausible to imagine that no one will be allowed to offer up prayers and incense until after these plagues are fulfilled and brought to their completion. Revelation 8:3-4
