Is this world starting to drag you down? Where do you receive your power from? How is Holy Spirit used to discern your thoughts? Do you expose how you feel to the sovereign of the universe and or to our Lord? Can you keep even the smallest of thoughts away from the true God?
Hebrews 4:12-13… For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and [their] marrow, and [is] able to discern thoughts and intentions of [the] heart. And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting.
How is Holy Spirit used to discern your thoughts?
Romans 8:26-28… In like manner the spirit also joins in with help for our weakness; for the [problem of] what we should pray for as we need to we do not know, but the spirit itself pleads for us with groanings unuttered. Yet he who searches the hearts knows what the meaning of the spirit is, because it is pleading in accord with God for holy ones. Now we know that God makes all his works cooperate together for the good of those who love God, those who are the ones called according to his purpose.
The spirit pleads for us, and our Heavenly Father knows what the spirit is saying and yes it really helps us, God knows our thoughts.
Do we find ourselves cooperating with the Holy Spirit? If we do, then true happiness we shall find, and with that true purpose in this life we are pressing forward rejoicing even when we suffer.
1 Peter 4:12-14… Beloved ones, do not be puzzled at the burning among YOU, which is happening to YOU for a trial, as though a strange thing were befalling YOU. On the contrary, go on rejoicing forasmuch as YOU are sharers in the sufferings of the Christ, that YOU may rejoice and be overjoyed also during the revelation of his glory. If YOU are being reproached for the name of Christ, YOU are happy and blessed, because the [spirit] of glory, even the spirit of God, is resting upon YOU. (On their part he is blasphemed but, on your part, he is glorified)
Rejoice in your trials because you are shares of the sufferings of Christ and the spirit of God is resting on us. May you find and hold on to the peace of God that excels all thought.
Philippians 4:6-9… Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well spoken of, whatever virtue there is and whatever praiseworthy thing there is, continue considering these things. The things that YOU learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these; and the God of peace will be with you.
