What is this cry of Peace and Security all about? And where is it talked about in the Bible? The apostle Paul made mention of this as particular sign or feature as a indicator of when God’s Day was coming.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 – Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, YOU need nothing to be written to YOU. 2 For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. 4 But YOU, brothers, YOU are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake YOU as it would thieves, 5 for YOU are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness
The cry of Peace and Security is a signal. It is a sign for God’s people to let them know that God’s Day is almost here. So, who is crying out this saying of peace and security? And why is this cry linked or compared to a woman giving birth?
Jeremiah 6:13-15 – “For from the least one of them even to the greatest one of them, everyone is making for himself unjust gain; and from the prophet even to the priest, each one is acting falsely. 14 And they try to heal the breakdown of my people lightly, saying, ‘There is peace! There is peace!’ when there is no peace. 15 Did they feel shame because it was something detestable that they had done? For one thing, they positively do not feel any shame; for another thing, they have not come to know even how to feel humiliated. Therefore, they will fall among those who are falling; in the time that I must hold an accounting with them they will stumble,” Jehovah has said.
Please notice that it is the prophets and the priest of God’s people, they are the ones crying out this saying of Peace and Security. Also, they have done so in their pride, no shame or humiliation do they have or believe that they will experience. God here foretells that they will be judged in a time of his accounting. There destruction is coming.
So, is this just an isolated incident that God needs to address? Or is it an ongoing problem? Could there be another explanation for who’s crying out peace and security? After all, the United Nations proclaimed the year of peace in 1986. Then again, the Pope signed an agreement with the leader of Islam in 2019 to establish terms for peace. Do you accept the Pope as a leader or prophet of God’s people? Do you view the Pope is a priest of the true God? Then let us read on:
Jeremiah 14:13-14 – At this I said: “Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah! Here the prophets are saying to them, ‘YOU will see no sword, and there will be no famine to happen to YOU, but true peace is what I shall give YOU in this place.” And Jehovah went on to say to me: “Falsehood is what the prophets are prophesying in my name. I have not sent them, nor have I commanded them or spoken to them. A false vision and divination and a valueless thing and the trickiness of their heart they are speaking prophetically to YOU people.
For sure these things happened in the past to God’s people, but could these same things happen again today? After all, don’t we have the Truth?
Micah 3:5-11 – “This is what Jehovah has said against the prophets that are causing my people to wander, that are biting with their teeth and that actually call out, ‘Peace!’ that, when anyone does not put something into their mouths, also actually sanctify war against him, 6 ‘Therefore YOU men will have night, so that there will be no vision; and darkness YOU will have, so as not to practice divination. And the sun will certainly set upon the prophets, and the day must get dark upon them. 7 And the visionaries will have to be ashamed, and the diviners will certainly be disappointed. And they will have to cover over the mustache, all of them, for there is no answer from God. 8 And, on the other hand, I myself have become full of power, with the spirit of Jehovah, and of justice and mightiness, in order to tell it to Jacob his revolt and to Israel his sin. 9 Hear, please, this, YOU head ones of the house of Jacob and YOU commanders of the house of Israel, the ones detesting justice and the ones who make even everything that is straight crooked; 10 building Zion with acts of bloodshed and Jerusalem with unrighteousness. 11 Her own head ones judge merely for a bribe, and her own priests instruct just for a price, and her own prophets practice divination simply for money; yet upon Jehovah they keep supporting themselves, saying: “Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? There will come upon us no calamity.”
Do we imagine that because we have and use God’s name that we are to experience no kind of discipline or punishment for wrongdoing as a group? How are we to understand the word destruction?
1 Thessalonians 5:3 – “Sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them”.
What is the definition of the word destruction? According to Strong’s Concordance #G3639 “olethros” it can be rendered doom, destruction or death, but with emphasizes on the consequence of the loss. It could easily be said loss by ruin. So how does this really fit in to the context of what’s being said? Well just as soon as they say, “we have peace” God makes sure they don’t have peace. Just as a pregnant woman cannot hold back from giving birth, so too it is with those who cry out peace. Can we really say that? What scriptural proof do we have to make these kinds of statements?
Jeremiah 23:15-32 …“Therefore, this is what Jehovah of armies has said against the prophets: “Here I am making them eat wormwood, and I will give them poisoned water to drink. For from the prophets of Jerusalem apostasy has gone forth to all the land.” 16 This is what Jehovah of armies has said: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to YOU people. They are making YOU become vain. The vision of their own heart is what they speak—not from the mouth of Jehovah. 17 They are saying again and again to those who are disrespectful of me, ‘Jehovah has spoken: “Peace is what YOU people will come to have.”’ And [to] everyone walking in the stubbornness of his heart they have said, ‘No calamity will come upon YOU people.’ 18 For who has stood in the intimate group of Jehovah that he might see and hear his word? Who has given attention to his word that he might hear it? 19 Look! The windstorm of Jehovah, rage itself, will certainly go forth, even a whirling tempest. Upon the head of the wicked ones it will whirl itself. 20 The anger of Jehovah will not turn back until he will have carried out and until he will have made the ideas of his heart come true. In the final part of the days YOU people will give YOUR consideration to it with understanding” Jeremiah 25:27-38
First off, notice that God tells you when you’re going to figure all this out. Did he not just tell us, it is in his word that it would happen in the last days. If God did not send them, and he did not give permission for them to speak these things, then we got to ask these questions. Who are leading these men? How or where are they getting these teachings or sayings?
Jeremiah 4:10 – Jehovah has deceived them. But why would God allow this to happen?
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 … “This operation of error goes to them that they can believe the lie and become judged because they would not believe the truth found in his word”.
If you read this Scripture in context, you would have noticed that part of the chain of events that leads up to the coming of Christ and our being gathered to him in heaven is that there is going to be apostasy that comes first, and a revealing who the man of lawlessness is.
The cry of peace and security is just one event that happens in a series or chain of events that are to occur. Notice what Jesus said as respects to this chain of events.
Matthew 24:5 “For many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many”.
Matthew 24:23-25 “Then if anyone says to YOU, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones. 25 Look! I have forewarned YOU.
Jesus warned us that false Christ would come, and we should not follow them. Who are these false Christs? Where do they come from?
1 John 4:1-3 – For a fact we need to test the words from the spirit to see if it lines up with God’s word. If not, we will get fooled, just as the apostle John explained.
2 Timothy 4:1-4 – The man of lawlessness tickles the ears of the people; because they are the false teachers.
Ezekiel 14:9-10 – If a prophet gets fooled, I have fooled him, and they will have to answer for their error. All will become guilty who will listen to them.
Isaiah 30:8-12 – They are a rebellious people, not wanting to hear. By speaking smooth words and tell us deceptive things and envision for us a vision,
Ezekiel 22:25-31 – There is a conspiracy among the prophets. And they keep taking precious things. They have made no distinction between what is holy and what is common.
These false Christ come as the Spirit of truth, but they speak things of deception and what they tell proves to be an anti-Christ message in the long run. They proved to be the teachings of demons who aligned themselves with the wicked one to resist the day of God and the enthronement as Christ Jesus to the throne.
Jeremiah 25:27-38 – “take the cup and drink puke and fall down… start with the city with my name on it… Howl you shepherds … the place to flee and the means of escape has perished … Gods burning anger has come.”
Their labor pains are due to the coming of Jehovah’s day of anger. And now it’s time to tell why is this cry of Peace and Security is linked or compared to a woman giving birth?
God’s kingdom cannot be borne until all of Christ Jesus’s brothers come out of all religions from around the world. The labor pain of the woman is the struggle with the children of God being born out from all these religions.
First there was the cry of peace and security followed by the days of darkness. Next, we would have the revealing of the sons of God to all creation, followed by their entering into the kingdom of God. Next follows the woe to mankind is the wicked one is thrown to the earth. The earth will have to endure, by taking a knee and calling out to our Lord Christ Jesus for help.
There could be no another explanation for who’s crying out peace and security, it is those who claim to be at peace with God, the very leaders of God’s people. They tell us of the Spiritual Paradise we can have now as we are being governed under the earthly organization of God”. They also claim to have those who worship at the Spiritual Temple in among them. They are proud to have the Truth and are standing in God’s name and anyone who asks about these things is called an apostate and thrown out of their organization. But there will be no peace for them, those who are made to drink from the cup of God.
Amen, Come Lord Jesus.
