What is the divine council of God? It is the time and place that God hears complaints and accusations that need to be addressed.
Is there a place in God’s word that we can see this divine council at work? Yes, here in the account of Job.
Job 1:6-12… Now it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and even Satan proceeded to enter right among them. 7 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” 8 And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad?” 9 At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God? 10 Have not you yourself put up a hedge about him and about his house and about everything that he has all around? The work of his hands you have blessed, and his livestock itself has spread abroad in the earth. 11 But, for a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch everything he has [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.” 12 Accordingly Jehovah said to Satan: “Look! Everything that he has is in your hand. Only against him himself do not thrust out your hand!” So, Satan went out away from the person of Jehovah.
After about 30 days or more when the plan of the wicked one was not working, he once more entered into the Divine Council to modify his claim against a righteous man.
Job 2:1-7… Afterward it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and Satan also proceeded to enter right among them to take his station before Jehovah. 2 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Just where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” 3 And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad? Even yet he is holding fast his integrity, although you incite me against him to swallow him up without cause.” 4 But Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Skin in behalf of skin, and everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul. 5 For a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch as far as his bone and his flesh [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.” 6 Accordingly Jehovah said to Satan: “There he is in your hand! Only
In the Divine Counsel of God, one resister stood up and made such claims and utterances before the Sovereign himself about the men who have a love for God in their hearts and a fear of him.
Yet he himself has no real fear before our God. No true blessing nor gift has he been or given to the Sovereign of the universe. This resister has proven to be a curse in the assembly of our God. He has allowed his jealousy to turn in to a hatred toward what God is doing for mankind with respect to the gift he is giving to his seed, his only begotten. With his mouth he has not yet cursed God but in time he has now been found to be a part of an active conspiracy, in a full-blown rebellion against the Kingdom of God.
Send them Flying
The time has come to shake them free from the assembly of God send them flying to the earth that the high heavens may be clean from this dark cloud of acidic attitudes. Humble them on account of the fact that they have put themselves above all others in their thoughts and actions. They think they can do a better job than our Lord Jesus Christ himself.
Psalms 2:1-12… Why have the nations been in tumult and the national groups themselves kept muttering an empty thing? 2 The kings of earth take their stand and high officials themselves have massed together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one,3 [Saying:] “Let us tear their bands apart and cast their cords away from us!” 4 The very One sitting in the heavens will laugh; Jehovah himself will hold them in derision. 5 At that time he will speak to them in his anger and in his hot displeasure he will disturb them,6 [Saying:] “I, even I, have installed my king Upon Zion, my holy mountain.” 7 Let me refer to the decree of Jehovah; He has said to me: “You are my son; I, today, I have become your father. 8 Ask of me, that I may give nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession. 9 You will break them with an iron scepter, as though a potter’s vessel you will dash them to pieces.” 10 And now, O kings, exercise insight; Let yourselves be corrected, O judges of the earth. 11 Serve Jehovah with fear and be joyful with trembling. 12 Kiss the son, that He may not become incensed and YOU may not perish [from] the way, for his anger flares up easily. Happy are all those taking refuge in him.
Rid yourselves my brothers we pray of what has proven to be unclean in the assembly of God. It’s time to sanctify the heavens, for the Kingdom of his righteousness is to begin its rule. Follow the lead of Michael because it’s the time for the victory and authority of the Christ of our God.
Revelation 12:7-12… And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
Humiliation belongs to the rebellion against God, for they showed no fear of him or for him down to this very day.
Amen come Lord Jesus.
