Who is to benefit from the restoration of Israel? What group or organization has aligned itself with the restoration prophecy of Yahweh? What restoration prophecy are we looking to be fulfilled?
Because of Israel’s bad deeds; God had scattered His people among the nations. The nation of Israel has been dispersed for more than 1900 years. But because God wanted to sanctify his name, he has brought his people back to the land of Israel. From 1948 Israel again has become a nation restored to its own land. God promised much more than the possession of the land he promised to give them a new spirit so that they should walk in his ways and keep his laws. This is the restoration prophecy that we are now considering.
How has this prophecy affected governmental policies, national attitudes, and the personal perspective of a God-fearing people? Who else is to benefit from the Ezekiel 36 prophecy? Is it the Christians, maybe the offspring of Israel, or Zionist?
Wikipedia has a detailed history of the Christian Zionist movement dating back to the early 1500s. The Geneva Bible was even produced in 1560 because of this ideology, that of the returning of Gods people to the land of Israel. The Christian Puritans emerged in 1649 in England to build the Commonwealth, they too believed in the Zionist movement. They believed that the Jewish people would return to the promise land one day.
Around 1660 Sabbatians under the teachings of Sabbatai Zevi an Ottoman Jewish rabbi and known Kabbalist also taught a Zionist movement ideology but moved away from a Christian viewpoint and more toward Judaism. Then he was forced to convert to Islam or die.
In 1897 the World Zionist Organization was born from a convention that was held in Switzerland. In 1960 this organization changed its name to the World Zionist Congress. This organization still exist today, and it meets every 4 to 5 years.
In 1929 an organization operating underneath the oversight of the World Zionist Organization was formed and it called itself the Jewish Agency of Palestine, then later changing its name to Jewish Agency of Israel after 1948.
Then we have the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs founded in 1954 as a pro-Israel lobbying group, then in 1959 it was renamed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. This is one of several pro-Israel lobbying groups operating in the USA political arena today.
The American Connection
In November of 1906 the American Jewish Committee was formed. Then came the Anti-Defamation League in 1913. In September of 1980 the Christian community established the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem and it chose as its mandate Isaiah 40:1-2.
Another organization was formed, and it’s called the Fellowship Israel Related Ministries or FIRM in 1983. It now boasts the largest collection of registered Christians supporting the nation of Israel. Then in 1985 the Republican Jewish Coalition was formed.
In 2006 an organization was formed called the Christian United for Israel.
So, what effect have these organizations had with the backing of Christians upon the political environment of America?
President Trump particularly during the 2016 identified himself as a conservative Christian, however if you research the question does Donald Trump possess Jewish ancestry you will find that he does. Trump’s daughter Ivanka had already converted to Judaism in July 2009. Ivanka Trump married Jared Kushner a Jewish man in that same year. After Trump won the 2017 presidency Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka became part of the inner circle for the Trump presidency. They Helped broker the Abraham accords treaty and paved the way for better relationship with the state of Israel. Especially after President Trump declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel and backed the movement of the US embassy there. The people of Israel showed their appreciation for the work that President Trump has done in Israel.
When The Mikdash Educational Centre on Feb 2018 produced a coin that honors Trump in comparison with King Cyrus.
After winning the 2025 presidency Donald Trump with the major support from the Jewish community appointed a friend to Israel. Michael Dale Huckabee who has served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas. Who is a Republican and Baptist Minister and is now serving as the American Ambassador to Israel.
As of June 2025, it is said that Donald Trump is currently in the process of converting to Judaism. We will need to wait and see if this becomes a reality and a matter of fact among public. This piece of information would explain a lot about the decisions the President Trump is making now with regard to the anti-Semitism in America.
What is the mindset of the people of Israel as regards to President Trump and how do they feel about him?
A Purim Spiel
Purim is a celebration that the people of Israel celebrate annually. It is because they were saved from a destruction by God when he used Esther and her uncle Malachi under the Babylonian rulership.
People have a custom of telling the story every year and some have even compared the modern-day events to the actual story, some have gone as far as projecting wishful attentions in what they imagined would be the perfect Israel.
One such story I read recently involved President Trump converting to Judaism, then using his money to buy land on the Temple Mount. Then he could build a replica of the White House, after his term as the president of the United States ends, he could then run for Prime Minister of Israel. Because of his popularity in Israel running way over 60% he could win big there. The people of Israel can hope big and sometimes these stories even have a way of becoming a reality, do they not?
Who has benefited from the restoration of Israel so far? What organization has aligned itself with the restoration prophecy of Yahweh? What part of this restoration prophecy are we still looking for to being fulfilled?
Let us review this prophecy and make note of some of the fulfillments to date:
I Will Make You Inhabited
Ezekiel 36:6-12… Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I speak in My burning zeal because you have endured the insults of the nations. Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: I swear that the nations all around you will endure their own insults. “You, mountains of Israel, will produce your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel, since their arrival is near. Look! I am on your side; I will turn toward you, and you will be tilled and sown. I will fill you with people, with the whole house of Israel in its entirety. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will fill you with people and animals, and they will increase and be fruitful. I will make you inhabited as you once were and make you better off than you were before. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. I will cause people, My people Israel, to walk on you; they will possess you, and you will be their inheritance. You will no longer deprive them of their children.
In 1948 Israel became a nation once again fulfilling what God has said. But is that all he said about this restoration or is there more to it?
I Will Give to You
Ezekiel 36:24-30… For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and will bring you into your own land. I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine on you. I will also make the fruit of the trees and the produce of the field plentiful, so that you will no longer experience reproach among the nations on account of famine.
God has promised us something wonderful to give us and it is a new spirit to serve him. So, we can follow his statutes and ordinances. That means with this new spirit we can follow God’s laws, orders and decrees fully.
The Sanctifying of Israel
When God fulfills this prophecy, it is not necessarily done in the order as we read it from his word. The fact of the matter is that most of Ezekiel prophecy has and is being fulfilled before our very eyes. In Ezekiel 37 the very dry bones of Israel is really more than just a physical restoration prophecy there is a spiritual aspect to it that goes unsaid and this is what we will focus on next.
Prophesy Concerning These Bones
Ezekiel 37:1-14… The hand of the Lord was on me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. He led me all around them. There were a great many of them on the surface of the valley, and they were very dry. Then He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I replied, “Lord God, only You know.” He said to me, “Prophesy concerning these bones and say to them: Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Lord God says to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you will live. I will put tendons on you, make flesh grow on you, and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you so that you come to life. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.” So, I prophesied as I had been commanded. While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. As I looked, tendons appeared on them, flesh grew, and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man. Say to it: This is what the Lord God says: Breath, come from the four winds and breathe into these slain so that they may live!” So, I prophesied as He commanded me; the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, a vast army. Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Look how they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope has perished; we are cut off.’ Therefore, prophesy and say to them: This is what the Lord God says: I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them, My people, and lead you into the land of Israel. You will know that I am Yahweh, My people, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put My Spirit in you, and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. I have spoken, and I will do it.” This is the declaration of the Lord.
If you have read Ezekiel 36 in comparison to chapter 37, you will then realize that this is indeed the same restoration prophecy with some additional detail added.
What are the similarities and what are the additional details? First we should notice that God has promised to put his spirit upon his people. Next we should identify that God has begun to restore his people by opening the land for them to settle back on it. This prophecy has a spiritual aspect to it as it also has a physical aspect. By restoring the people to the land God in effect has raised a dead nation by giving life and a restoration to the land of Israel. But should we be looking for the resurrection of the dead by means of this prophecy? Enoch 20:8
What other secrets will Ezekiel chapter 37 reveal to us?
One Nation One King
Ezekiel 37:15-28… The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, take a single stick and write on it: Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him. Then take another stick and write on it: Belonging to Joseph the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel associated with him. Then join them together into a single stick so that they become one in your hand. When your people ask you, ‘Won’t you explain to us what you mean by these things?’ tell them: This is what the Lord God says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel associated with him, and put them together with the stick of Judah. I will make them into a single stick so that they become one in My hand. “When the sticks you have written on are in your hand and in full view of the people, tell them: This is what the Lord God says: I am going to take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. They will no longer be two nations and will no longer be divided into two kingdoms. They will not defile themselves anymore with their idols, their detestable things, and all their transgressions. I will save them from all their apostasies by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God. My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances and keep My statutes and obey them. “They will live in the land that I gave to My servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They will live in it forever with their children and grandchildren, and My servant David will be their prince forever. I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will establish and multiply them and will set My sanctuary among them forever. My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people. When My sanctuary is among them forever, the nations will know that I, Yahweh, sanctify Israel.”
The Dry Bones of Israel – Restored
The dry bones of the nation of Israel have indeed been restored to the promise land. No longer are they a divided nation. So, what else should we expect to be fulfilled from this prophecy?
God speaks of his servant David serving as the prince of peace and there is to be an establishment of the covenant of peace. This is something that the nation of Israel has not had for over 1900 years ever since they were removed from the land. But here is something interesting that God has promised; that his sanctuary, His house of dwelling will be among them forever. That is so that the nations may know who the true God is, it is Yahweh. This thought of God dwelling in his sanctuary in Jerusalem is also expressed at Revelation 21:1-4.
Is this all there is to the restoration prophecy or is there more to it? Should we be looking into Ezekiel chapter 38 & 39 to see how it ties in with these other two chapters of Ezekiel 36 & 37. How does the Gog of Magog war help solidify the restoration prophecy of God?
The Gog of Magog War
If you’re reading this, you maybe already familiar with many of the teachings or perspectives surrounding the subject matter about Gog of Magog. For the sake of those who do not understand we are going to review. We hope to put some definition to this prophecy by explaining the players in it and their relationships to one another.
Read Ezekiel 38 first.
The players of this prophecy are as follows:
Meshech and Tubal is the modern-day Russian cities of Moscow and Tobolsk.
Sheba maybe modern-day Yemen.
Dedan is modern-day Northwest Arabia or Saudia Arabia.
Tarshish is modern-day Spain.
Persia is the modern-day nation of Iran.
Cush is the land found as the Southern part of Egypt and the northern land of Sudan; this land of Cush straddles the borders of these two nations.
Ethiopia is the same it has not changed.
Put is the modern-day Libya.
Gomer is a land found in southern Russia.
Beth-togarmah is the land to eastern side of Turkey all the way up into Armenia.
The Players Relationship
The relationship between these players are as follows:
Gog of Magog is a spirit entity, a Prince that rules over the land of the north. Just like Michael is the spirit Prince of God’s people. Daniel 12:1
Meshech and Tubal, have been assign a Russian identification, connecting these 2 nations with the modern Russian cities of Moscow and Tobolsk. Meshech – Moscow, and Tubal – Tobolsk. The first view became well known through the Scofield Study Bible: “That the primary reference is to the Northern powers headed by Russia, and all agreed. The reference to Meshech and Tubal (Moscow and Tobolsk) is a clear mark of identification.” Thus, the name Moscow derives from the tribal name Meshech, and Tobolsk, the name of the principal state, from Tubal. This view is partly based on the similarity of sound in these names and their close proximity to Rosh (Russia). If this is so, the names Meshech and Tubal, point directly to Russia, being identified with Moscow, the capital of modern Russia, and Tobolsk in Asiatic Russia. Modern Tobolsk was founded in 1587 in western Siberia, and from there the Cossacks rode eastward to open up all of Siberia to Russian domination. Meshech and Tubal would then be names standing for Russia in Europe and Asia. Per the L. Sale-Harrison corroborated, this identification is based on linguistic grounds.
Yemen has a relatively limited connection with Russia. Though the help of the USSR it was aided in building the port of Hodeida. Russia’s interests in this country is linked to its trade routes.
Saudia Arabia and Russia have what is called a cooled relationship. Russia suppresses the Muslim people of its territory which Saudi Arabia objects to. Because these two countries make up one fourth of the world’s production of oil, they work together to stabilize oil production and pricing.
Spain has an energy agreement with Russia which allows energy companies access to each other’s domestic markets. The relationship that Spain has with Russia today has cooled over the years.
Iran and Russian connection is greater than people may realize. Iran has signed contracts with Russia to build nuclear facilities inside of Iran. Russia is an arms dealer and supplier to Iran; they even hold joint military exercises together. Russia runs interference at the United Nations for Iran.
Sudan relationship with Russia can be explained as complicated. Russia seeks to influence the Sudan through its military and economic partnership. Russia benefits greatly from the seaports to the Red Sea at the port of Sudan and its resource extraction particularly of its gold. The Wegner group which is a mercenary organization has been linked to many operations within the Sudanese border.
Egypt and the Russian relationship has increased ever since the 2013 coup. Egypt has increased in its purchasing of the Russian weapons, and it participates in the joint military exercises. Russia is helping Egypt build its first nuclear Powerplant as it has done with Iran.
Ethiopia shares with joint military operations along with arms deals with Russia. They maintain an energy and technological relationship.
Libya has signed many oil and gas production contracts with Russia. Russia has invested heavily in the economy of Libya. Russia has supplied military assets and its presence in Libya has given to Russia its Naval base’s that access the Mediterranean Sea.
Armenia was a Republic under the treaty with USSR but since the fall of the Soviet Union; Armenia has signed treaties with Russia in which Russia guarantees the protection of it.
Turkey and the Russian connection can be described as one of energy and economic. Russia supplies energy to Turkey whereas Turkey controls the waterway out of the Black Sea, and this allows the Russia Navy access to the worlds water ways year-round.
