The book of Revelation has been studied, discussed, debated, analyzed and interpreted by many from the past even up to today. We have had scholars, religious leaders, and even spiritual advisors trying to decipher the message and the meaning of this book. The Book of Revelation is complexed and is full of symbolic language and has a multi-dimensional aspect, and the reason being because it has a fulfillment for the end time prophecies that are happening now. Today we have many who produced what they believe to be the correct interpretation of this wonder of literature.
To begin to understand the book of Revelation we have to have the right help. We then need to ask the right questions. Next, we need to look to Identify who this book was written to. Identifying the players within the prophetic message is an important step to understanding their correlation to the book of Revelations fulfillment.
The Right Help
The key to understanding comes from the wisdom from above.
Proverbs 1:1-7…The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 For learning what wisdom and discipline are; for understanding insightful sayings;
3 for receiving wise instruction in righteousness, justice, and integrity; 4 for teaching shrewdness to the inexperienced, knowledge and discretion to a young man— 5 a wise man will listen and increase his learning, and a discerning man will obtain guidance— 6 for understanding a proverb or a parable, the words of the wise, and their riddles. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Solomon pointed out that wisdom and discipline go hand-in-hand but notice the outcome that it produces. Increased learning, obtaining guidance useful for understanding proverbs, parables, and their riddles, all this hinges on fearing God. It is true that Solomon was speaking to young people to get them to listen to someone who was more experienced in life. But the principal stands especially for those who are seeking the knowledge from God.
Godly wisdom comes from above but notice that the key aspect linked to this wisdom as James explains.
James 3:17-18…But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
The wisdom from above is a fruit of righteousness and it has to be sown in and under peaceful conditions. For those who seek peace, cultivate peace, pursue peace and make peace.
2 Peter 1:19-21… So we have the prophetic word strongly confirmed. You will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 First of all, you should know this: No prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation, 21 because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
We need the right help that help comes from the Holy Spirit, it is a wisdom that comes forth from God. We who want to receive that help have to seek peace and pursue peace. The wrath of God is upon mankind, and we have submit to the fear God and pursue peace with him. Only then can or will we find help to understand the message found in Revelation. Philippians 2:10-11
I suggest that after reading this last passage of Scripture that you get down on your knees and openly pray about what you just read, that you too may receive the bright morning star by making peace with the true and living God.
Take Note of the Clues
Now take note of what was revealed in the beginning part of Revelation, where Christs gives instruction on how we are to participate in the reading of the book of Revelation. Here is where you find your first clue.
The next clue comes when Christ draws attention to the timing when he mentions “the Appointed Time is near”, we need to address what that means. Next he says, “Look, He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see him and those who pierced him, all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him.” More on these clues will be covered in Revelation chapter 1.
The appointed time has something to do with the end of this rebellion against God, it is a type of judgment upon those who are disobedient to God and to the appointed King of kings. This rebellion started in the spirit realm and is spread to mankind. It is an attitude that has festered into an action that now has manifested itself as a full-blown rebellion.
The book of Revelation was written to those who would have to endure this rebellion and to those who are perpetrating the crimes committed against God, his Christ, his kingdom and the chosen ones of God.
The next two chapters of Revelation address the seven congregations in the district of Asia. I found this interesting because it was not address to those of Rome nor to those down near the city of Jerusalem but to the district of Asia. This in fact is in the vicinity of the throne of Satan of that time. I cannot help but think that God has strategically placed the message of Revelation clearly within the grasp of Satan, who would most assuredly want to know what God was doing so he could maneuver to disrupt the incoming kingdom of God. True enough the wicked one would have eventually gotten his hands on this writing but let us look at history and ask, where are the seven congregations in Asia today?
Next, each one of those congregations is first addressed to the angel of the congregation and then by extension those found in it, both to humans and to the spirits. I am able to confidently say this because one of the first examples of Christ Jesus expelling an unclean spirit and not a demon from a man. This happened at a place of the reading of God’s word in worship at the synagogue according to the disciple Mark. Read Mark 1:23-27
So, the next thing we need to understand is there are different classifications of those living in the spirit realm or in the parallel dimensions. There too we will find the angels of God and they have their own classifications. We will fine there helpful spirits all the way down to the demonic forces that work against mankind. This may be a new thought for you, I do apologize if this seems shocking, but the truth has to be told if we are going to understand what is going on in the book of Revelation and understand how the world around us works.
I would like you to look up a particular scripture found at 1 John 4:1-7. You see the apostle John knew that not all spirits claiming to be good were from God, or that they would be truthful, he found it necessary to warn other Christians that these spirits would turn mankind away from truth and into falsehood. The apostle John even provided a test to figure out who we could listen to. Remember Christ told us that he would send a helper to be with us forever who would guide us into all truth. John 14:16, 15:26 and 16:13-15 please review these cited Scriptures before reading on.
I hope that through this introduction that you can begin to understand that the book of Revelation is written both for those in the spirit realm and to those who are physically upon this earth. The identification of the players will be found to be both physical and dimensional. Because we cannot see what is going on in the spirit realm God has provided a description of what is going on behind the curtain as it were. We can only identify what is physically happening in front of us. It is true that if something happens in the spirit realm there is a direct manifestation of that in our physical dimension. We will identify these groups of individuals as organizations, coalitions, and entities along with their characteristics and attitudes.
As we begin to look at the book of Revelation and the commentary provided with it. It should be done through the lens of perception that we just discussed; it is not just a physical application that is being communicated.
We have also created for you an index of the players with their identification with scriptural references. I hope you will enjoy reading the message of Revelation through this newly revealed perception.
Revelation 22:14-19… Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to attest these things to you for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star.” 17 Both the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Anyone who hears should say, “Come!” And the one who is thirsty should come. Whoever desires should take the living water as a gift. 18 I testify to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book. 19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this prophetic book, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, written in this book.
Yes, blessed and happy are those who read aloud God’s word, and those who will listen so as to obey it, and to those who observe this message, because the appointed time has come. Come Lord Yeshua, Come in Gods righteousness to execute the divine will of God. Amen!
