What is God name and what separates us from him? What has led mankind to become alienated from God?
By definition God is a supreme being, having power over the world we live in. God is the ruler of the universe as we know it. God is the ultimate reality who establishes his rulership by his power, foresight, righteousness, justice, and his love of morality. God is holy and faithful and true. His name is Yahweh or Jehovah, and he is here right now to judge the earth.
Some of mankind’s scholars have defined God as Omnibenevolence, that is supremely good, Omnipotence, meaning all powerful and Omniscience all knowing. But how does God see himself and then convey to us what and who he is?
God has spoken to mankind and has sent angels to convey to us what he expects from us and who he is. He has given men visions to help us understand what he really is all about. God has sent prophets to describe the attributes of God and from these we can begin to understand how God sees himself.
God pictures himself as an eagle who has foresight, as a lion that has courage, as a bull that represents his strength, and lastly as a man that has the ability to love.
Genesis 1:26 reveals that God wanted man made like him. God also wanted us to have rulership over the earth and the things that are found upon it and in it. We resemble God, we are a shadow of his very being. This is what God wants for us, that we should be like him as he is our Father, and we are his children.
If we are made to be like God how is it that we are now alienated from him?
Ephesians 4:17-18… Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their thoughts. They are darkened in their understanding, excluded (alienated) from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts.
To help us answer this question let us get the definition for the word alienated. It is defined as the state of being isolated from a group or activity which one should belong to and involved in. Now we need to look at what group and activity that we are no longer a part of.
If God created us to be like him we will have to sometime arrive at the conclusion that we now have become separated from him in our thinking, ideology and ways.
Those who really know God are referred to as holy or godly in their activities, their life revolves around God and what he expects from us as his children. So, the first and foremost thing are his rules, law, and ordinances. Matthew 5:19-20
Separated from God
For a society to function and thrive it has to have someone who is in control by means of a rulership, that means the establishment of rules governed by law with society participating in the ordinance set forth by the ruling government. Without government there is chaos, without rules governed by law there will be injustice and lawlessness followed by misery and pain. Look around us and we see if this is not so?
When there is a turning one’s back to God and ignoring his rulership, with the establishment of his rules, laws, and ordinances we have now become separated from him and the group who are standing with God.
Without God’s rulership there is chaos, lawlessness, disobedience, and anarchy. People have become self-absorbed giving into dark thoughts and feelings, sinking into moral depravity with selfishness. Willfully blind, and feeding themselves with disinformation, believing lies that lead to turmoil in one’s life. These very things have cause man to become separated from God. How can we correct this?
Reconciliation & Emancipation
- We have to accept God’s kingdom and his rulership. Because Christ has been given the inheritance and the kingship. Psalm 2:7-12
- We have to take in knowledge of God and of the one whom he sent forth Christ Jesus. Galatians 4:4-5
- We need to understand these things and act in wisdom and the enlightenment that’s been giving us.
- We have to teach the truth and learn to love one another to be truly at peace with God. Philippians 4:7
I was awoken with the word of God in my head 11/1/25. So, now let’s read God’s word and listen to what he is saying to us:
Ezekiel 36:5-38…This is what the Lord God says: Certainly, in My burning zeal I speak against the rest of the nations and all of Edom, who took My land as their own possession with wholehearted rejoicing and utter contempt so that its pastureland became plunder. Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I speak in My burning zeal because you have endured the insults of the nations. Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: I swear that the nations all around you will endure their own insults…
8… You, mountains of Israel, will produce your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel, since their arrival is near. Look! I am on your side; I will turn toward you, and you will be tilled and sown. I will fill you with people, with the whole house of Israel in its entirety. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will fill you with people and animals, and they will increase and be fruitful. I will make you inhabited as you once were and make you better off than you were before. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. I will cause people, My people Israel, to walk on you; they will possess you, and you will be their inheritance. You will no longer deprive them of their children…
13… This is what the Lord God says: Because people are saying to you, ‘You devour men and deprive your nation of children,’ therefore, you will no longer devour men and deprive your nation of children.” This is the declaration of the Lord God. “I will no longer allow the insults of the nations to be heard against you, and you will not have to endure the reproach of the peoples anymore; you will no longer cause your nation to stumble.” This is the declaration of the Lord God…
16… The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their behavior before Me was like menstrual impurity. So, I poured out My wrath on them because of the blood they had shed on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols. I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered among the countries. I judged them according to their conduct and actions. When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said about them, ‘These are the people of Yahweh, yet they had to leave His land in exile.’ Then I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they went…
22… Therefore, say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord God says: It is not for your sake that I will act, house of Israel, but for My holy name, which you profaned among the nations where you went. I will honor the holiness of My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am Yahweh” the declaration of the Lord God, “when I demonstrate My holiness through you in their sight…
24… For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and will bring you into your own land. I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine on you. I will also make the fruit of the trees and the produce of the field plentiful, so that you will no longer experience reproach among the nations on account of famine…
31… Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices. It is not for your sake that I will act”, the declaration of the Lord God, “let this be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated because of your ways, house of Israel…37…This is what the Lord God says: On the day I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by. Then they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The cities that were once ruined, desolate, and destroyed are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations that remain around you will know that I, Yahweh, have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I am Yahweh have spoken and I will do it...
37… This is what the Lord God says: I will respond to the house of Israel and do this for them: I will multiply them in number like a flock. So, the ruined cities will be filled with a flock of people, just as the flock of sheep for sacrifice is filled in Jerusalem during its appointed festivals. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”

Psalm 32:8-11… I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel. Do not be like a horse or mule, without understanding, that must be controlled with bit and bridle or else it will not come near you.
10… Many pains come to the wicked, but the one who trusts in the Lord will have faithful love surrounding him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
Come Lord and be our God!
