Deliverance for the Chosen Ones – Matthew 24:31
What do we need deliverance from? How are we to be delivered? How much longer do we need to wait for God’s Kingdom to come? When Christ arrives what is going to happen then?
As we read in the previous Scripture there is going to be a judgment of mankind, and deliverance is going to be based on how we treated Christ brothers the chosen ones.
Matthew 24:31 And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity.
Can you imagine what it would be like to see and hear such an awesome event? If you were experiencing a suffering because you believe in Christ, imagine the relief at seeing & hearing of these things. What if you were one of these people who were not a believer, a naysayer and ridiculer of God, could you imagine the fear they would have at seeing Christ coming?
2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for YOU, but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful
angels in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength, at the time he comes to be
glorified in connection with his holy ones and to be regarded in that day with wonder in connection with all those who exercised faith, because the witness we gave met with faith among YOU.
Do you experience suffering physically or emotionally? Is there anybody causing you great amount of grief day after day? Do you feel driven along, do you take the path of least resistance? Is there a famine upon the land or a plague?
If you answered yes to any one of these questions or experience from the Scripture the things that we just read, the Scriptures reveals that we are to be delivered from such treatment.
The Scripture reveals that the Lord will come with powerful angels, and he will bring vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. These two very distinct classifications will affect your life forever.
What else can we learn about this awesome and fear inspiring event?
1 Corinthians 15:50-53 However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Look! I tell YOU a sacred secret: We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality.
The Scripture is very clear that to enter into the kingdom of God you cannot be flesh, you have to become a spirit, any who are of the chosen who are still alive at the sounding of the last trumpet will be changed into a spirit. So, how does this exactly work?
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this is what we tell YOU by Yahweh’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep [in death]; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus, we shall always be with [the] Lord.
Again, the Scriptures are very clear no one shall proceed or go ahead of anybody else into the kingdom of God, it says we will all go at the same time, those who have been risen from the dead, and those who are still alive in the flesh will be changed. This all happens when the Lord calls and you hear the sound of the last trumpet. This will truly be a day of deliverance from corruption. How will the rest of God’s creation feel about this event?
Romans 8:19-23 For the eager expectation of the creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will but through him that subjected it, on the basis of hope that the creation itself also will be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now. Not only that, but we ourselves also who have the first fruits, namely, the spirit, yes, we ourselves groan within ourselves, while we are earnestly waiting for adoption as sons, the release from our bodies by ransom.
Are we to understand that elephants and mountain lions and birds are to be happy at the revealing of the sons of God?
This creation that the apostle Paul is talking about are that of free moral agents, not that of animals but of spirits. That’s right Paul reveals that the Angels themselves “spirit creatures” who live in among us will also be set free from the enslavement of sin and will have the freedom like the children of God, this is truly an amazing deliverance for all of us.
Recapping the Days of Darkness
So, in review we have taken note of 5 identifiable events that Jesus spoke about found in Matthew 24:29-31 and Luke 21:25-28. These events are truly a special fear inspiring manifestation of God’s power and wisdom. Marked by wondrous signs and events that will bring about the change of circumstances for the stars of heaven. And then for sinful mankind it will bring about woe and judgment as they see Christ Jesus coming in the clouds, but for those who believe there will be deliverance and a rejoicing on their part.
The Days of Darkness Identified
Signs of the Sun and Moon being Darkened. God intends to bring about a manifestation, by marking his special time with a special event, by putting the fear of God back into mankind with the awe-inspiring display, this brings glory to the only true God.
Stars fall from heaven and the powers of heaven are shaken. God will now also begin to shake the heavens and the earth to set them in a commotion as God annuls the authority of the air. These demonic forces who have had authority over mankind will now be forced to surrender that authority. These stars who are now being thrown to the earth are to wait for the final judgment. The authority will now be given Christ Jesus as the rightful ruler of God’s Kingdom. Daniel 7:13-14
Men become fearful of the events to come These demonic forces who will be thrown to the earth, stripped of their authority will be angry and mad, they will take out their anger and aggression upon mankind. Only those who will call upon the name of our God and his Christ will escape the things destined to come upon this earth. Philippians 2:9-11
They will see the Son of Man coming. Blessed is he who comes in the name of our God. There will be no longer any question of who will rule mankind in righteousness, because they will see him coming in his kingdom power and glory, he will bring the effects of God’s kingdom upon this earth. Amen come Lord Jesus come.
Deliverance for the Chosen Ones. Deliverance will come by the Son of Man our Lord Jesus Christ; he will come with the help of his Angels as God’s last trumpet is blown. There will be a raising up of the holy ones who are dead and a changing of those who are of the chosen ones, those who are still alive as we are made into spirits. We who are bless will enter into the kingdom of God all at the same time. Even creation itself will be set free from corruption. Those who are free moral agents those spirits who live among us will also become children of God. Yes, come Lord Jesus come, blessed are you who come in our Father’s name. Romans 8:21
