What is The Message of the Reconciliation? And who is teaching us all about it?
The apostle Paul was the first to use the expression “ministry of reconciliation” or “service of restoration” he was actually making reference to the fact that we were ambassadors for Christ Jesus and the kingdom of God.
2 Corinthians 5:18-21…But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry (G1248 service) of the reconciliation (G2643 restoration to favor), namely, that God was by means of Christ reconciling a world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and he committed the word of the reconciliation to us. We are therefore ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making entreaty through us. As substitutes for Christ we beg: “Become reconciled to God.” The one who did not know sin he made to be sin for us, that we might become God’s righteousness by means of him.
The message of the reconciliation has to do with being able to allow mankind to be at peace with God by means of the spirit of Christ Jesus. The world was alienated from God because of sin, Christ came and did away with sin once for all time.
Ephesians 2:11-14…So remember that you were not born Jews. (They call you `The Uncircumcised’). 12 Remember you did not know Christ at that time. You were far away from the people of Israel. You had no part in the agreements which God promised to them. You had no hope, and you were without God in this world. 13 At one time you were far away, but now you have been brought near to God by the blood [death] of Jesus Christ. 14 Christ has made peace between us.
So by the death of Christ and the pouring out of his blood he was able to make peace between God and ourselves.
1 Peter 3:18…because also Christ once for sin did suffer — righteous for unrighteous — that he might lead us to God, having been put to death indeed, in the flesh, and having been made alive in the spirit,
This message that God is giving is one of undeserved kindness, the Gift of Restoration and Favor to those who will accept and live by its rule of conduct.
Galatians 6:15-16… For neither is circumcision anything nor is uncircumcision, but a new creation [is something]. And all those who will walk orderly by this rule of conduct, upon them be peace and mercy, even upon the Israel of God.
What is this rule or standard that we need to live by, to keep in God’s favor?
Romans 8:1-13… Therefore, those in union with Christ Jesus have no condemnation. For the law of that spirit which gives life in union with Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For, there being an incapability on the part of the Law, while it was weak through the flesh, God, by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who walk, not in accord with the flesh, but in accord with the spirit. For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those in accord with the spirit on the things of the spirit. For the minding of the flesh means death, but the minding of the spirit means life and peace; because the minding of the flesh means enmity with God, for it is not under subjection to the law of God, nor, in fact, can it be. So those who are in harmony with the flesh cannot please God. However, YOU are in harmony, not with the flesh, but with the spirit, if God’s spirit truly dwells in YOU. But if anyone does not have Christ’s spirit, this one does not belong to him. But if Christ is in union with YOU, the body indeed is dead on account of sin, but the spirit is life on account of righteousness. If, now, the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in YOU, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make YOUR mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in YOU. So, then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live in accord with the flesh; for if YOU live in accord with the flesh YOU are sure to die; but if YOU put the practices of the body to death by the spirit, YOU will live.
We can no longer go on walking, thinking, speaking, or worshiping in a fleshly way because it leads to sin and death.
John 1:17… Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.
We need to walk in a new way of Thinking, Living, Speaking, and Listening, to what the Spirit of Truth is saying, setting our minds to live for righteousness and in peace with God.
Romans 8:14-21… For all who are led by God’s spirit, these are God’s sons. For YOU did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but YOU received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: “Abba, Father!” The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together. Consequently, I reckon that the sufferings of the present season do not amount to anything in comparison with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the eager expectation of the creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will but through him that subjected it, on the basis of hope that the creation itself also will be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God.
The World is waiting for the revealing of the Sons of God so it too can become Free from Sin and Enslavement to Corruption, Hallelujah.
Pray that our Deliverance is near!
Colossians 1:13-14… He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins.
Who are teaching about the ministry of “The Reconciliation and what authority do they do so by?
2 Corinthians 3:4-6… Christ gives us confidence (or rights) about you in God’s presence. 5 By ourselves we are not qualified in any way to claim that we can do anything. Rather, God makes us qualified. 6 He has also qualified us to be ministers of a new covenant (promise) a spiritual promise, not a written one. Clearly, what was written brings death, but the Spirit brings life.
By the authority of Christ Jesus, we are authorized to speak about these things but are being qualified comes from God, he qualifies us by means of the Holy Spirit to speak about the things of the kingdom and his means to reconcile mankind to himself through the Christ.
Blessed are those who listen to this kingdom message of reconciliation yes Amen Come Lord Jesus Christ!
