Are we spiritually rich or do we have more to learn? Are we suited up in our Christian garment? Do we have an honest viewpoint of ourselves? How should our attitude be when we are being asked to adjust ourselves or work on some aspect of our character? How do we act when we need to change a long-held Christian viewpoint or belief or are we just happy to go along with the flow?
Revelation 3:14-19… And to the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or else hot. 16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth. 17 Because you say: “I am rich and have acquired riches and do not need anything at all,” but you do not know you are miserable and pitiable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from me gold refined by fire that you may become rich, and white outer garments that you may become dressed and that the shame of your nakedness may not become manifested, and eye salve to rub in your eyes that you may see. 19 “‘All those for whom I have affection I reprove and discipline. Therefore, be zealous and repent
Do we possess real gold or is it something plated in gold that we are holding on to as real?
Are we dressed appropriately in the righteousness of God?
Maybe it is time that we should check and adjust ourselves by looking into the mirror of God’s word?
Maybe we do not see God’s Word as clearly as we think we do. Do we allow ourselves to meditate upon what Christ said seriously. By doing this shows, we are possibly humble and willing to submit to Christ direction and to his readjustment.
Revelation 3:20-22… Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his [house] and take the evening meal with him and he with me. 21 To the one that conquers I will grant to sit down with me on my throne, even as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Let the one who has an ear hear what the spirit says to the congregations.’
Close your eyes and answer this question please:
How loud do you think Jesus is knocking on the door?
Would you open the door if it were your house? Can we hear what the Scriptures are saying?
What do you and I need to do right now to survive what is coming upon mankind?
Luke 21:36… Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication (Strong’s #1189 beg request) that YOU may succeed (Strong’s #2729 get the upper hand) in escaping (Strong’s #1628 flee out) all these things that are destined to occur, (Strong’s #1096 change / transitioning) and in standing before the Son of man.”
What would you say to the Son of Man if you were standing in front of him right now?
We need to beg our Lord that we get the upper hand in being able to escape to stand before him. Yes, pray hard my friends.
