Amos 3:8…There is a Lion that has roared who will not be afraid? God has spoken! Who will not prophesy?
The prophet Amos makes a good point, who will not speak up when God speaks to us.
The end of what has come, and what does the summer fruit have to do with the end?
Amos 8:2… Then he said: “What are you seeing, Amos?” So, I said: “A basket of summer fruit.” And Jehovah went on to say to me: The end has come to my people Israel. I shall no longer do any further excusing of them.
God is using the summer fruit to make a point. The summer fruit will simply rot if not eaten unless it is dried and preserved. God is letting his people know that he is not going to preserve them, there is no more excusing of their badness, there will be no more further forgiving of them.
When God speaks of something becoming ripe it has to do with the badness of this people, to the point that he does something about it.
God has brought about the destruction of his temple in the past at the time of the harvesting of the summer fruits. This destruction of the past happened in the Jewish month of AB 10th – 17th so, all of Gods people should take note.
Why should this be important to us today? – 9/22/2019
The Sanhedrin in Israel is going to make a covenant of peace with the seventy nations on 9/26/2019.
Right after this there is the first trumpet blast of the new moon on Tishri first 9/28/2019.
Take note we are in an appointed time. This Covenant of Peace will be with the nation of Israel and the 70 nations, where an animal sacrifice will be rendered up, where all will agree for the promotion peace and enforcement of the Noahide laws.
This sounds like it’s going to be a good thing but how can there be peace without God?
No, this is a man-made kingdom; it is not the kingdom of God that their trying to bring about. They have forgotten the object lesson of Oholah & Oholibah with their involvement in Egypt and Assyrians. They have forgotten their God! Ezekiel 23:1-49
1 Thessalonians 5:2-9... For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. 4 But YOU, brothers, YOU are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake YOU as it would thieves, 5 for YOU are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to the night nor to darkness. 6 So, then, let us not sleep on as the rest do, but let us stay awake and keep our senses. 7 For those who sleep are accustomed to sleep at night, and those who get drunk are usually drunk at night. 8 But as for us who belong to the day, let us keep our senses and have on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet the hope of salvation; 9 because God assigned us, not to wrath, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Next I like to tie in a passage of Scripture where we have an angel of God who raises his right hand and swore.
Revelation 10:5-11… And the angel that I saw standing on the sea and on the earth raised his right hand to heaven, 6 and by the One who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and the things in it and the earth and the things in it and the sea and the things in it, he swore: “There will be no delay any longer; 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to blow his trumpet, the sacred secret of God according to the good news which he declared to his own slaves the prophets is indeed brought to a finish.” 8 And the voice that I heard out of heaven is speaking again with me and saying: “Go, take the opened scroll that is in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the earth.” 9 And I went away to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me: “Take it and eat it up, and it will make your belly bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” 10 And I took the little scroll out of the hand of the angel and ate it up, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; but when I had eaten it up, my belly was made bitter. 11 And they say to me: “You must prophesy again with regard to peoples and nations and tongues and many kings.”
Did you notice that the good news is brought to a finish at the start of the blowing of the 7th trumpet?
What does this have to do with us today? What does it have to do with us tomorrow, and what does it have to do with the past or future?
Everything, because it is all about to change, God’s wrath is coming.
Our Father in heaven has had it prophesied and written down for us all about the things that are coming upon us, and no longer is it good news, the time for God’s wrath has come.
The Indictment
Jeremiah 25:30-38… From on high Jehovah himself will roar, and from his holy dwelling he will give forth his voice. Without fail he will roar upon his abiding place. A shout like that of those treading [the winepress] he will sing out against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31 A noise will certainly come clear to the farthest part of the earth, for there is a controversy that Jehovah has with the nations. He must personally put himself in judgment with all flesh. As regards the wicked ones, he must give them to the sword, is the utterance of Jehovah. 32 This is what Jehovah of armies has said, Look! A calamity is going forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest itself will be roused up from the remotest parts of the earth. 33 And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become. 34 Howl, YOU shepherds, and cry out! And wallow about, YOU majestic ones of the flock, because YOUR days for slaughtering and for YOUR scatterings have been fulfilled, and YOU must fall like a desirable vessel! 35 And a place to flee to has perished from the shepherds, and a means of escape from the majestic ones of the flock. 36 Listen! The outcry of the shepherds, and the howling of the majestic ones of the flock, for Jehovah is despoiling their pasturage. 37 And the peaceful abiding places have been rendered lifeless because of the burning anger of Jehovah. 38 He has left his covert just like a maned young lion, for their land has become an object of astonishment because of the maltreating sword and because of his burning anger.
Understanding these words are important because they have to do with getting out of her my people. Organized religions will come to their end. Those who shepherd the flock, and the principal ones will be made to pay along with everyone else found in her. They will suffer the plagues that are coming upon her. Because our God, our Father in heaven is strong and his words will not go unfulfilled. Take heed lest you to have to suffer this judgment with her.
This passage of scripture has been read in every church and have been read aloud in the synagogues for over 2000 years, No one can say they did not know. These words were relevant back then as they are today. Having read and heard these words makes you liable and guilty for a lack of action on your part. So, hear and become obedient from your heart. This is serious business; people, you need to turn to the only one by whom you may get salvation, Jesus Christ. Look what was written for you to do to gain your escape.
Philippines 2:9-11…For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Follow these instructions and get down on your knees and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord of heaven and earth so that our father in heaven may be glorified.
Jesus Christ is the son of God, the Savior who came into the world and is the only appointed leader of the Christian Congregation who you claim to be a part of.
Listen and become obedient from your heart and follow him wherever he goes.
